Family Photography Session at Home
The best people. The loveliest farm.
I met Ben and Tracy through my partner after I moved to Ottawa some 15 years ago. A few years back I got the chance to document a morning around the farm with them and figured it was time to share a sampling of those images.
I like good people, and they are that. I don't get to see them often, but we've watched one another's families grow and it's been nice to live vicariously through them as they've grown their family farm. Cedar Knoll is a third generation family farm. They raise animals in a natural and healthy way, providing what I call 'happy meat' for locals. Ben and Tracy have worked to create a beautiful lives for themselves and I'm so grateful I got to spend this time with them (and for the wonderful food we buy from them)(and for Neko the cat, who also came from their farm).
Day in the Life sessions lend themselves well to creating photo books to commemorate the day and to look back on in years to come. I know the boys are all bigger now, some animals are gone, others have arrived and the love you see in their eyes when they look at each other is as strong as ever.
If you'd like to find out more about Cedar Knoll Farm and their Grass-Fed Beef, Pork, Whole Chickens, Free-Range Eggs, and Homemade Soap offerings head over here.
